West Kent Mediation provides mediation to help:
Neighbours/community problems
Noise, harassment, verbal abuse and anti social behaviour can cause disagreements between neighbours and in communities. Mediation is often successful in resolving such problems.
Restorative Justice – (victim offender mediation)
Part of the restorative justice process, victim offender mediation allows offenders and victims of their crimes to communicate via mediators. It enables victims to express their feelings safely, and offenders to take responsibility for their actions and understand the impact of the crime on others.
Parent/Teenager mediation
Some disagreement between parents and teenagers is often a normal part of growing up. Adolescence can be a challenging time and many young people find it difficult to express their feelings and needs. Mediation helps repair the damage and supports the re-building of relationships.
Restorative Practices within Schools (charges may apply)
WKM train young people to become peer mediators. We also work with pupils experiencing anger problems and teach them how to manage conflict more constructively.
Homeless mediation
Mediation can prevent young people being made homeless as a result of a breakdown in family relationships. Mediators help families start talking again.
Workplace mediation (charges apply)
Helping to resolve conflicts within the workplace, including harassment and bullying complaints.
